Wood Group GTS has been awarded a six-year contract to provide maintenance services for a GE Frame 7EA gas turbine at a manufacturing facility in Texas.

Wood Group GTS' maintenance management solution for this contract features all major maintenance services, including parts, repairs, field services, and the installation of monitoring and diagnostics technology to provide predictive performance management of the gas turbine.

The customer's accelerated process required that a solution be in place prior to the next scheduled combustion inspection in spring 2014.

"Wood Group GTS values long-term relationships with our customers and continues to help them minimize the capital spend associated with gas turbine maintenance," said Frank Avery, president of Wood Group GTS - Power Plant Services. "Our flexible terms and conditions, strategic parts inventory, and portfolio of proven performance solutions are all designed to align with customer goals and have resulted in a tremendous capital costs savings."

Term maintenance agreements are part of Wood Group GTS' overall solutions and services designed to maximize the return on customerss investments in gas turbine technology. Wood Group GTS has more gas turbine term-maintenance contracts than any other independent third-party provider.
