Japan exported around 4.1 million tons of steel products in March, rising by 4.7% year on year and increasing by 12.2% from a month ago, according to data released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance.
In the first quarter of this year, the country’s exports of steel products totaled 11.4 million tons, increasing by 12.9% year on year. In the given period of time, Korea was the largest importer of Japanese steel products with 2 million tons, falling by 4.6%; China was the second largest one with 1.4 million tons, falling by 5.8% and Taiwan was the third largest one with 1.1 million tons, soaring by 42.5%, all compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
